What is the difference between local island and resort island?
A resort island is an an island made only for tourists and no local people/residents are allowed to live on these resorts, even the local employees are in a separate area from the guests and those employees are allowed in the guest areas during their duty times.
A local island is where the local people/residents lives and mostly you will find the local varieties of food, local culture.
What currency do you accept?
We accept USD, Euro and Maldives Rufiyaa (MVR).
Where can I exchange money?
You can exchange for local currency at Male International Airport. Please keep the transaction receipt in case you wish to convert back to your original currency.
Is there a bank ATM on your island?
Yes, we do have bank ATM on our island. Do ensure you are able to draw money from your international card.
Do you accept credit card?
Yes! We can accept credit card payment (Visa and Mastercard).
What are the taxes? Are there any hidden fees?
The goods & services tax is 12%. Green tax is US$3 per person per night.
We do not charge any service charges. There are no hidden fees.
How far is your island from Male city?
We are around 1hr 30min speedboat ride away from Male city.
How reliable are the public speedboat and MTCC ferry?
These boat transport transfers are reliable unless the weather is very very bad. We recommend to take the public speedboat transfers as the best option to come to our island.
Do I need to book ferry / public speedboat tickets in advance?
Once you booked your stay with us, we will help to book your boat transfers seats and you pay directly to the boat captain.
If my arrival flight cannot make it for the public speedboat / MTCC ferry transfers, what are my options?
You can book a private speedboat transfer which we can help to arrange but it is quite expensive.
Alternatively, you can stay one night in Male or Hulhumale and arrival the next day. *Many of our guests who arrive on evening/night flights did the same.*
Can we enjoy alcohol on your island?
We are sorry but alcohol are not allowed on our island as we are located on a local island where the locals live.
Where can I have an alcoholic drink?
You may have alcoholic drinks in a resort which we can arrange speedboat transfer hire to take you there.
Can I sunbathe in swimwear (bikini) on your island?
We have a bikini beach where swimwear (bikini) is allowed.
Swimwear are not allowed on the public beach outside the bikini beach area on our island. Rash guards and shorts are ok.
I'm a weak swimmer, is it safe to go snorkelling?
Yes, all our activities and excursions are guided by our own team at all times. We are very experienced to guide guests who are weak swimmer or first-time snorkelling. Please let us know in advance when you arrive. We also provide safety vests for our guests.
Are the reef sharks dangerous?
No, they are not.
What are your most popular activities and excursions?
Overnight stay on deserted island, Picnic on deserted island, Swim with Turtle, Swim with Manta, Swim with Whaleshark, Snorkelling activities, Fishing, Lobster Hunting, and many more. How far are you from the beach?
We have a seafront lobby lounge area where our guests love to chill out and relax. The beach area is just 4 minutes walk from our guest house.
Do you have a reef on your island?
Yes, we have a beautiful house reef right in front of our guest house. Snorkelling masks and fins are provided at no extra charges. You are welcome to snorkel at the house reef anytime but please inform us in advance if you would like to do so.
Is your island safe?
Yes, the island is very safe. The local are respectful and friendly towards tourists.
Do you have internet access? How much is it?
We provide free WIFI at our in-house restaurant. If you would like to purchase your own local data card, please approach one of our staff to help you to purchase and set-up in your phone.
What kind of food do you serve?
Maldivian food is a combination of Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines, We mainly serve curries, fish, rice, noodles, roshi (like Indian chapati), vegetables, fruits. Help yourself to all-day complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee. Juices are also served during meals. Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary requirement.
Do you cater to vegans and vegetarians?
Yes, we do. Please let us know your dietary requirement in advance.
Is your food halal?
Yes.
Should i use a mosquito spray?
Yes, we recommend using a local deed which can be purchased easily from our local pharmacy.

Is there a doctor or pharmacy on your island?
Mahihadhoo is the capital island for the South Ari Atoll. We have a hospital and 3 well-stocked pharmacies on our island.
Are there any restaurants / cafes on your island?
Yes, there are several cafes & restaurants on the island.
